Us President Donald trump wanted to strip Federal funding for cities that allow anarchy, violence and destruction. The corresponding Memorandum of the American leader was distributed on Wednesday by the White house, reports TASS.
So, the American leader intends to deprive Federal funding to cities such as new York, Washington, Seattle (Washington) and Portland (Oregon). The government is launching a review of the allocation of funds.
“My administration will not allow dollars from Federal taxes to be used to Finance cities that allow themselves to become lawless zones. It is imperative that the Federal government review the use of Federal funds by jurisdictions that allow anarchy, violence and destruction in America’s cities, ” trump said.
In dozens of cities in the United States and other countries around the world since the end of may, protests have been held against police brutality over the death in Minneapolis of a black security guard, George Floyd, who died after a rough arrest. In some cases, the protests ended in riots, clashes with the police, looting, looting and pogroms.
Amid the protests, Donald trump decided to sign an Executive order aimed at police reform. It will aim to motivate police departments to use modern standards in the use of force.
