According to the head of the Ministry of health of the Republic, “the pandemic has intensified and continues.” The reasons for this situation, he called wedding ceremonies and failure to observe caution on holidays. At the same time, koja assured that the situation in the country as a whole is under control. The largest number of people infected with the coronavirus was recorded in Ankara and Istanbul, and there is an increase in Central Anatolia and the South-East of the Republic.
The Minister added that 45 deaths from COVID-19 and 1596 new cases of infection were recorded in Turkey over the past day.
Earlier on September 2, a Russian woman who went on holiday to Turkey during the coronavirus pandemic shared her shock at the number of people in hotels. According to the woman, there were a lot of tourists in the five-star hotel that she chose for her vacation. “If I’m not mistaken, hotels are allowed to fill up to 70 percent.
